Lyrebirds are denizens of cool temperate gullies where there is an abundance of leaf litter on the ground. Dappled sunlight, mosses, treeferns and leaf litter are all things I associate with Lyrebirds. Here live the small invertebrates on which they feed. This bird, with its large feet, has just uncovered a centipede amongst the fallen debris.
