Bush Stone-Curlews are a favourite and common bird on the Atherton Tableands. Their haunting calls are enjoyed by many during the evening.
This painting was completed as two adults in 1993. However, in 2002 William Cooper had access to orphaned chicks, which he was able to draw and add to the painting.
